Product Review

I haven't been in the blogging mood lately, not sure whats up with me :( but don't worry, I'm back!

Today, I'm going to finally do my fish oil review!!

I just take The Vitamin Shoppe brand

Just an overview of what the bottle says,

• May reduce the risk of coronary heart disease
• Supports a healthy inflammation response
• Important for brain and eye development

I take it because it's said to help with acne, and all the reasons above are a great reason to take it!
I'll start out with the cons:

1. It staaaaaaaanks! Literally it smells like fish food. haha!! 
2.  Gives you gas, it only makes me burp.  Which that doesn't bother me, I burp like cray anyways.
3. If you don't eat with it, you'll be burping up the taste.

So, obviously I don't have that many cons, and even my cons are like "eh" when you take the pill you can't taste it, they also have different types of fish oil, my dad actually takes a "smoothie" thing, I'm not sure what it is, but it's flavored. You can see that the pill is like a horse pill, and that may bother some people, but for me, I've had to take pills that big and even sometimes bigger, for doctor's reasoning's. So it doesn't bother me.

Pros:
I've pretty listed my pros, when I read off what the bottle said.  I just didn't talk about the acne, I've noticed when I stop taking it my acne starts to get bad again, and the fish oil helps keep it down and not as bad as it was getting.  But really all in all I suggest people take it!! It's really good for you and I don't really have any complaints!
I know weird that I did a fish oil review, but I really had no idea how well it would work and now I try to remember to take it every day.

Product Review!

Hey ya'll! I tried to use this "Clean Makeup" by Cover Girl in shade 220 Creamy Natural.
It's a light weight, natural coverage foundation. 

The only thing I liked about this product is it was light weight! Other than that it really dried out my face and started to flake off, with it just being on for 5 minutes, I'm not sure if it's just because I have sensitive skin or because I applied it with a sponge.  I haven't tried applying it with my fingers, yet, since it did dry out my skin the first time. 

Since it is light weight it was super easy to take off! That is probably my favorite thing about this foundation! I realize this isn't necessarily a "new" product, but I wanted to review it anyways.  And kind of ask you guys what your thoughts are, should I try applying it with a brush or my fingers?? I used this on my cousins using a sponge and it turned out really nice, it didn't cake off or anything, so I'm thinking maybe it's my face. haha. :)

Hey Ya'll!

Sorry I've abandoned my blog lately, this last month has been crazy, with family members being in and out of the hospital.  But no worries I am planning out blogs to work on now! 
I'm thinking my first blog back will be a review and then the next will be a did you know!

Since I'm already here blogging I might just end up posting my review tonight! We'll see, no promises though!

I haven't really caught up with the Sandy information these last few days, but I hope everyone on the east coast is safe! ULTA Haul

Hey everyone! :)

Recently I went to ULTA to get my hair done!  I'll be posting before and after pictures, from blonde to dark and then after my most recent glaze! But right now I'm going to share what I bought! :)

First thing I bought was this makeup bag, I'm not sure if you fellow rewards members or receivers of the ULTA magazine/catalog this was a "free gift" with any purchase over so much, the ULTA in my town, had the "extras" for $10.  So I bought it! here's what's inside!

Everything in the bag:
Brushes; Sponge tip, eyeshadow brush, and contour brush.
Dual Ended Eyeliner; Deep brown and black.
ULTA Legendary Lengths Lengthening Mascara.
ULTA instant Nourish Facial Moisturizer.
ULTA Super Shiny Lip gloss; #18 Stellar
ULTA Blush; Adore.
ULTA lipstick; #218 Good Year For Wine.
The last item which is wrapped up in the pictures is Nail Lacquer "Femme Fatale" I was thinking about giving it away, but it's such a little bottle that it wouldn't even be worth it, I don't know, let me know what you guys think! :)


The final thing I bought was the bareMinerals Flawless Complexion Essentials.

It came with:
Prime Time Foundation Primer
Mineral Veil Finishing Powder
Mini Flawless Application Face Brush
I'm not sure if I'm going to like this, I didn't like the fact that I paid $15 for something so small, the Mineral Veil Finishing Powder is literally so small. There isn't hardly anything in there. We'll see how well I like it, it's my first bareMinerals purchase EVER, so I hope I like it!! :)

Also, I'm thinking of switching to Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation, if any of you know a better one please leave it in the comments below!

A lot of news!! :)

Okay, so I have a few things to talk about! Stick around through my beauty part and we'll get to the good stuff :)

So on the acne note, I'm trying out fish oil! It's supposed to help out with eye and brain development and acne, I'll give more info about it when I review how well it's worked.
Now.. The good stuff! I've been looking into "Little Black Bag" and for those of you who don't know what it is, it's basically a monthly subscription for accessories, you take a quiz when you sign up, just about your style so they know what to place in your gallery. They have a lot of designers like BCBG, Betsy Johnson, D&G and many more! You pay $50 monthly, but you can skip months, or you can just get one box for I believe $60. You pick your first item and you get two others after you pay chosen by a stylist, you can also trade items, my friend had asked me "well how do you know they aren't trading fake designer items" well, the cool part is the items don't get shipped to you for I believe 7 days, so you have that amount of time between purchasing the item and having it shipped to you to trade as many times as you can. I am by far no expert on this site, so I suggest you go check out their site! It really is something awesome! Anyways I was thinking if I decide to go to ahead and at least get one box, I wanna do a give away or maybe wait for Christmas and do like a "stocking" or something cute I haven't decided. Now if you have made it to the end of this, tell me something you want me to give away, I've thought about maybe my an urban decay shadow, or something I haven't came up with something affordable. Sephora Haul!

So, normally I shop at ULTA, but I was in JC Penny's today and was like "Hmm.. haven't gone in Sephora in a long time!" So I walked in and was just browsing, btw it's story time, the worker walked up to me and we started talking and I mentioned how I want the Urban Decay Vice Palette, but it doesn't come out till next week, she got in a drawer and was like we can't sell it yet, but look! OMG if you think the colors are amazing or even think "ew, those are ugly" when you see it in a youtube video or on urbandecay.com you will LOVE it, I was iffy about it, but when she pulled it out, HOLY SMOKES I WAS AMAZED! But I also LOOOVE Urban Decay, no joke, hands down, it's my favorite high end brand.  No I'm not getting paid to tell you how much I love Urban Decay or how awesome the new palette looks, I just love it that much! Now all that aside I'm showing whats in my Sephora bag.  I only bought one thing, but ayeeee it's my birthday month so I got a free gift.... Say whaaaaaa? :)

Hey everyone!

ToothPaste as a Whaat?

In my last blog I posted about how toothpaste can be used as a spot treatment, and here I am to inform you about it!

Before we get started, I want to put a disclaimer out there and a warning! This is a spot treatment, NOT a mask, do NOT put it all over your face, it will become like a very bad sun burn! Now, you're supposed to only leave it on for about 5 minutes, I leave mine on for at least an hour, sometimes I even sleep with it on! If you fall asleep with toothpaste on your face you're going to get toothpaste on your pillow, so don't get mad at me when you wake up with it in your hair or all over your pillow. :) Also, this is not the most effective way, when I wash it off I use a real spot treatment after! Anyways lets get to the pictures!

What will you need?!

Toothpaste! 

I use Colgate Total, and no they aren't paying me. You can use any kind of toothpaste, really. & No, that is not a wedding ring.

A wash cloth! 

And of course a face! 

I accidentally deleted my picture of the toothpaste on my face, so I had to find one on google.

Doesn't she look happy?

Alright! Now wait til you fell like it's been there long enough, 5 minutes is plenty, you can always go back tomorrow and do it again! I do this until the redness and swelling has gone down! 

Warning: you are going to look weird if you walk around with toothpaste on your face!

Take a wet wash cloth and remove the toothpaste, put a spot treatment on it (one you can just rub in and leave) and you're done!

Beauty, Did You Knows!

Hey! I'm going to start this new thing called "Beauty, Did You Knows!" Basically, it's where I tell you beauty facts, or give you beauty tips to help you, and I'm thinking I'll try to do one every month! Let me know if you like them! 

#1.  Did you know, if you don't get the roots of your hair completely dry they could stay "damp" or "wet" for at least a week! And you wouldn't even know! This tip is courtesy of my hair stylist! This goes for the thicker hair!

#2. Did you know, putting tooth paste on an on coming zit it helps stop it.  I'm going to post a blog about this, no worries, it should be up within the hour! :)

#3. Did you know, dying your hair out of a box is not good for your hair! I use to do it, when I had my blonde hair, I went dark though! YAYY! I totally suggest going to a salon, I went to ULTA for mine! (and no they are not paying me to tell you this!) I'll do a before and after of my hair and explain what they did! :)

#4. Did you know, biting your nails can give you worms...yes, worms...They are called pinworms, they are passed from person to person by eating the eggs transmitted from fingernails, clothing or bedding, contaminated food, and other objects! EW!!! and watch out for human and animal roundworms too! You can get them the same way! I just got extremely grossed out! 

#5. Did you know, your hair dye can kill you?! It has an ingredient called PPD!  I'm going to post my "speech" on it, if I can find it otherwise I will inform you more on this topic!

Would you rather beauty tag!

Howdy, howdy fellow bloggers/blog readers!
So, I wanted to try something a bit different and do a beauty tag! I know these are normally on youtube, but who's to say they can't be on a blog?
I'm going to post the questions at the end so you don't have to erase my answers if you want to do this!

#1. Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up, or nice hair and no make-up?
Messy hair and make-up I don't know if I'd do "nice" make-up I'd just do my normal make-up.  

#2. Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?
Well, I would never shave my eyebrows, "ain't no way, ain't no how!" haha! But then again I don't want eyelashes to fall out! I love them too much! But I think, I would have to go with eyelashes...especially if they can grow back, or I can just wear fakes I suppose! 

#3. Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?
Well, I'm not a big MAC fan, so I'd go with Sephora.  (even though I don't shop there anymore!)

#4. Would you rather wear the lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm?
bahahah! Oh my lanta! Definitely the 80's perm! I can't pull off the gloss and liner look!

#5. Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?
Oh! That's a tough one.. Can I choose neither? haha kidding! hmm.. I think I would rather go out with the obvious foundation.. I don't wear blush anyways.

#6. Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public?
MC Hammer pants all the way baby! haha No biker shorts for this girl!

#7. Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered?
Really weird tan lines that can't be covered! That way it's a natural tan and not an Oompa Loopma tan! Plus I get weird tan lines every summer, whats the diff?! :P

#8. Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair color?
Bad hair color... only because it can always be changed and it washes out! 

#9. Would you rather have youtube or twitter taken away forever?
Probably YouTube, I only get on there when someone posts a video anyways, and I tweet almost everyday! 

#10. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara?
WHAT?!?! hmm.. Mascara, I don't like using my fingers to put eye shadow on, and my lashes are already long and dark enough so I really don't need mascara, it's just here for the extra oomph!

A day later!

Yesterday I had blogged about the OPI color I had used, I just wanted to show you all how awful my nails look! Now, I know it's not the polish, it's a fantastic brand! But some how my nails don't hold polish at all! I'm gonna have to shop around for a good polish! Any suggestions?

Usually I'm not one to use OPI nail polish, because it doesn't stay on my nails, but my grandma has "BogotA Blackberry" and I love it! I'm sure it won't stay on my nails long, because no polish really does! But it's still so pretty! If you like deep reds I suggest this! It'd be great for a formal event or even a normal day!

Nail polish review!

So I recently used a nail polish from Maurice's and I LOVE the color, but I just took it off my nails and it made them look like I had just taken acrylic nails off! To me the nail polish is just poor quality, I think it would be best for painting acrylic nails, but that is just my opinion.

Do you really read this blog?

Hey ladies!!

First off I wanna state some news and ask for opinions, I want to see how many of you are actually reading my blog!
NEWS: I'm starting a new blog for my photography, once I get it up and running I'll post a blog about it. :)
Opinions: I need you guys to let me know if you think it would be too inappropriate to talk about topics such as sex (not just that though) on this blog if I should create one for things like that, I thought it would be great to be able to have your beauty and life lessons/help with any problems in the same place instead of 2 different blogs, just let me know in the comments or if you aren't the type to leave comments you can always email me at beautielicious12@gmail.com

Now, do you have problems with acne? Because I know I sure do!! Ahhhhh!!!! I want to crawl under a rock and hide, I hate acne, it makes me feel ugly and I try not to pop the pimples or pick at my face or even touch my face! But I can't help it, I recently got on birth control because I thought it would help, nope. If anything I feel like it's made it worse. I've been getting more deep red pimples that HURT! OUCH!! I try and try to catch them in time and get some toothpaste on them to make it go away (it really works!) but sometimes its too late, I've tried many acne solutions, my first being ProActiv!!! LOVED IT!!!!! I feel like it worked way better than anything else, I only stopped using it because it was $60 I'm not sure if the prices have gone down, but I'm going to check in to it, if they don't simmer down.  Right now I have a Burt's Bees scrub, an apricot scrub, clean and clear morning burst AND Skin ID.  None of them are working for me, and let me tell you Skin ID is the biggest joke ever, some people have amazing luck with it, but it just doesn't work for me, it's something I wouldn't recommend to anybody. The biggest thing that I didn't like about the Skin ID was I went through this big test like thing and when I got to the acne type part I put deep red pimples and they said "we don't have anything to help that" blah! I have another blog where I talk about the acne solutions a little more, the only ones I don't talk about are the burt's bees scrub, I really need more time to review this item, I will post a blog all about it, and also the clean and clear morning burst, I gave up on it because I don't get up early enough to use it in the morning, but the one time I did use it I remember thinking first "wow it really did wake me up" and a few minutes late going "umm.. okay, this was supposed to wake me up" I realize that isn't the point of it, but I haven't used it since, I'm working on getting back into that!

Life!

Alright, I want to get back into blogging, and I'm hoping I can bring myself to blog at least once a week whether it be fashion or makeup! I'll post OOTDs and many more, probably even finally use my Blogger app and blog on the go! I was also thinking about doing the youtube videos again, but I don't know if very many people would watch them.  So I probably wont blog much for most of September it's a pretty difficult month for my family and I, but I will more than likely post homecoming dresses and stuff for you guys with in the month! I hope you all are enjoying life and living it to the fullest!
Also I wanted to make a quick side note and say I will be giving advice on big issues, for instance: high school drama, first loves, boyfriend problems, and even sex.  So if you want advice and I mean GOOD advice on this sort of stuff check back soon! I always love getting feed back, so please feel free to comment me or even email me, the emails go straight to my phone so I wont miss a thing!

back to school, or night out!

For a first day of school look I thought a simple dress would be cute with plain black heels (or flats!) match your phone case with your outfit of course! Have a purse that doesn't clash with the outfit too, do a cute simple hair style curled and in a loose pony with a little bump is always cute! For jewelery just wear something you wouldn't wear with a normal outfit, here are some ideas!
