Homecoming.

Since homecoming is coming up soon, I thought I'd pick a few dresses that I liked, and share with you. This year is my senior year, and I'm not able to go to my homecoming, because my dad is getting married on that day, but I'm still buying a dress for my birthday.

All of these dresses are from DEB's website.
I realize my posts have super short lately, but I'm concentrating on my school work and graduating, so to the loyal readers, please stick with me, it wont be like this for long.
Love,
Tay♥

OOTD :)

Every year before school starts my grandma takes me shopping for new clothes, so this year I thought I'd dress a little nicer since it's my last year.
This cropped top I got at Charlotte Russe, I believe it was $20
undershirt, also from Charlotte Russe, around $8 (keep in mind I bought these clothes awhile ago)
Shorts, American Eagle High Waist shorts, $30
Purse- Rue 21, $15

MAC Review.

For Christmas I got the 6 Dashing Lassie Eye Shadows from MAC, I think I was building it up to be something fantastic because "OMG IT'S MAC!"
I was very disappointed when I wore it for the first time this summer, don't get me wrong it gave me an amazing look, but when I got home and looked in the mirror, I realized it had creased, which actually really upset me, since my N.Y.C. eyeshadow (I'll do a review on that and maybe even a tutorial!) lasts all day without creasing at all.. I'm really hesitant to buy anymore MAC problems because of this.

It came with a little brush, that I can't stand! It makes my eyes itch like crazy! I don't know if you can tell how pretty the colors are since I'm just using my webcam, I'll try to post a picture below!
Top row (L-R); Showstopper (M), Buckwheat (F), Bronze (F).
Bottom Row; Magical Mist (L), Once upon A Time...(VXP), A Dashing Lassie (F).
They're GORGEOUS colors, but they really don't show up that great.. :(
I'll be trying different looks with this makeup to see if I get the same results, but for now, I'm very disappointed in the results I got, hopefully that opinion changes.

Thanks for reading girls!

Back to School!

Since I just can't seem to want to stop blogging, here we go, I've been reading a lot of forums on Elleandblair.com about girls wanting to know what to wear, how to act, and what makeup to wear for freshman year.  Well, if you want people to like you for YOU, which is really important, be you, wear what you want to wear, act how you've always acted, and as for make up, don't wear a lot of makeup, the more makeup you wear the more over powering your look is, just don't wear too much.

Dress up, wear dresses, skirts, heels, skinny jeans, whatever your style may be, strut your stuff, you only have one life, don't live with regrets.

Some days you won't even get out of your PJ's! Why should you? Be comfortable!
Makeup:

Go soft warm colors, bright spunky colorful looks, or just don't wear any makeup at all!

You'll eventually realize you don't have to impress people, just be you and they'll love you!
If you go to a small school like I do, the upperclassmen will be a little tough on you, but some of my best friends were the upperclassmen, they're tough on you because you're the underdogs, throughout the year they get much nicer.
If you want to do sports, you'll have to find time for homework, which can easily be done after practice, I hope this helps! :)

Enjoy high school while you can, it may not all be rainbows and butterflies, but it's not that hard either...

Sending my love half way across the world♥

I've been hearing about the rioting in London, and I finally looked up what's going on (readers from London, if you know exactly why this all started, please post in the comments below).
From what the news clip I watched said, the riots began due to a guy getting shot, if you guys know why this all started (even if you aren't from London) please let me know.

As I was looking this up, there was one picture that really made me sad (all of the pictures from the riot made my heartache), it was an 89 year old man standing in his hairdressing salon after the riot had been in there.
I've always wanted to visit London, and when I think of it, I think of it being the most beautiful place in the World.

My heart goes out to the innocent people who have lost their homes, business', and family members in this riot.  I may never understand why people riot of things like this, but they do.  It'd would absolutely suck to work so hard your entire life for something and just have it taken away like that.
This by all means will NOT stop me from visiting London, I hope everyone stays safe, and the riots are put to an end so no more people get hurt, emotionally or physically.  Just know I love you all, even if I don't know you. You only live once, and you have so much love to give, why not give it?

Keeping London in my thoughts and prayers, Tay♥

Grill Your Corn :)

Smoky Corn On the Cob! :)
Where I come from sweet corn is the best part of summer! Since it's sweet summer time, and most everyone loves corn, I thought I'd share a recipe I found with you, and also tell you how my family does it.

Prep: 5 mins
Cook: 15 mins
Peel back the husks from the corn and remove the silk. Butter the kernels and sprinkle with salt and smoked paprika. Fold the husks back over the corn and grill over low heat until cooked through, turning occasionally, 12 to 15 minutes.

Most everyone I know, takes the husks completely off and the extra cob you just pop off (if it's a stubborn one you may have to cut it) we also cut the tip off, because that part has usually been eaten by bugs. After we've done that, we put salt, pepper, and butter on, sometimes I add a little garlic spray to mine. Grill them till they're done and TA-DA you've got yourself delicious Sweet Corn! I also cover mine in butter before I eat, makes it 10 time better!

Let me know if you guys want more healthy foods, like salads and guilty pleasure snacks!

Sweet corn and lots of butter,

I got...NAKED!

I just got the Naked palette from Urban Decay today :) I was sooooooooo excited!!! The lady at Sephora goes "oooh! you're going with the Naked Palette! Good choice you can do so much with it" my response: "I know I've been wanting it for so long!" her: "Time to break down huh? You go for it girl!"
Honestly this girl made my day! It came with the little baby sized eye shadow primer potion, it's so tiny and cute!!! I can't wait to use it!
I know you can't read the names so I'll list them all. Top Row (L-R): Virgin, Naked, Buck, Smog, Toasted, Creep. Bottom Row: Sin, Side Car, Half Baked, Darkhorse, Hustle, Gunmetal. and a Shadow Karma Brush.
I think $48 is a good price, even though after tax you end up spending $50.81 I believe.
If you think about it, it's actually a good deal, because the brush is normally $26.00 the Primer bottle is $18.00 (and I suggest getting the bottle instead of the tube, you save a $1.00) and one eyeshadow is usually $17.00-$20.00. Add all that up and it comes to around $60.
I've heard this is worth the splurge so we'll see, I'll probably do a review once I use it.

I'll have a MAC review coming up soon as well. :)

Hope you guys like this.
Love,
       Tay ♥
